Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist – Project Manager - NJ Experience Required (Princeton, NJ Office) - Immediate opening for a qualified Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist – Project Manager with 10+ years of relevant experience in New Jersey. Candidates must have experience in site investigation and remediation at commercial / industrial properties in New Jersey with expertise in contaminant hydrogeology / plume delineation and ground water remediation in overburden and fractured bedrock aquifers.  The position includes a mix of field and office work on projects ranging from focused soil/ground water investigations, to complex RI/RA’s involving hydrogeologic characterization and aquifer analysis/interpretation (slug/pumping tests, borehole geophysical tests, vertical profiling/fracture characterization; packer testing, etc.).  Responsibilities include developing work scopes/cost estimates, implementing soil, groundwater and vapor intrusion investigations, data management/evaluation, and technical report writing. Experience designing, permitting and implementing in-situ injection remediation projects preferred.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proficient with NJDEP statutes and regulations (e.g., SRRA, ARRCS and TRSR), technical guidance, regulatory timeframes and filing forms;
  • Experience with:
    • hydrogeologic characterization in overburden and bedrock, interpretation and documentation/presentation of results;
    • design and implementation of aquifer hydraulic tests;
    • borehole geophysics, packer tests, tracer tests;
    • ground water flow and contaminant fate and transport modeling (e.g., MODFLOW, MT3D, etc.);
    • design and implementation of in-situ remedial technologies (e.g. ISCO, ISCR, surfactant-enhanced recovery, etc.);
    • visualization/graphical illustration software;
  • Strong emphasis on excellent technical writing skills – clear and concise presentation of complex information;
  • Highly organized with excellent interpersonal communication skills;
  • An MS degree in geology or multi-disciplinary technical background preferred;
  • A professional license such as P.G., CGWP, or P.E., and/or LSRP, or the academic qualifications and commitment to obtain such licensure, a plus;
  • Knowledge of/experience with PADEP Act 2 and EPA - CERCLA/RCRA/TSCA a plus;
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance, 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and annual 8-hour refresher training required.

Project Manager (Geologist/Hydrogeologist) (Princeton, NJ Office) - Immediate opening for a Project Manager (Geologist/Hydrogeologist) with 5-8 years' experience in hydrogeologic/environmental investigation and remediation. Candidates must be highly organized with excellent communication and technical writing skills, and in-depth knowledge of NJDEP regulations and technical guidance documents. There are opportunities for increased responsibilities and advancement with proven track record. Demonstrated leadership in the management of multi-media remediation projects involving PA/SI, RI and RA phases required. MS degree with multi-disciplinary technical background and interest in continued cross-training preferred. P.G., CGWP, or P.E., and ability to ultimately obtain LSRP license, a plus. The successful candidate should be experienced in:

  • knowledge of current NJ regulations (e.g., SRRA/LSRP, ARRCS, TRSR) and associated guidance documents,
  • knowledge of PA and USEPA environmental regulations,
  • hydrogeologic reconnaissance, characterization and interpretation,
  • aquifer hydraulic testing/interpretation,
  • fate and transport modeling,
  • in-situ remediation technologies (e.g., chemical oxidation and bio-remediation), and
  • commitment to obtain professional licensure if not holding one currently
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance, 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and annual 8-hour refresher training required.
